Events and Experience

Jam On It

Event Director

February 2017 - July 2017

I was lucky enough to start my first job out of college in Reno, NV at Jam On It; a company that hosts youth basketball and volleyball tournaments along the west coast. I was more than excited to be apart of the company that hosts the world's largest basketball tournament! How cool is that?!

While Jam On It's roots started with basketball, I was brought to the team in February 2017 to help break into the youth volleyball market. We hosted four volleyball tournaments in 2017, including the AAU West Coast Championships in Las Vegas. I hit the ground running as the event coordinator and tournament director and had a blast seeing our events come to life after all the hard work and preparation. What a rewarding experience!

Event Operations Intern - All Sports

May 2016 - August 2016

In 2016 I completed an internship at the Amateur Athletic Union in Orlando, Florida. I was an event operations intern working with five

different sports. Because AAU offers a wide variety of sports, I had the privilege to interact with many different sport cultures. While the gymnastics participants are organized and friendly, the basketball population is passionate and focused!

I was selected as the lead intern for both

gymnastics and baseball this summer. With this opportunity, I created, distributed, and analyzed surveys to gauge customer satisfaction with the 2016 AAU Baseball Grand Nationals and the 2016 AAU Gymnastics Age Group Nationals. Click on the PDF files to take a look at the surveys

Tourney Town Volunteer

April 2016

I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at the 2016 Women's Final Four in Indianapolis. It was a valuable experience to work at the Tourney Town in the Convention Center where children and their families could come for free to play games and win free prizes. It was a great atmosphere to be apart of, and tremendously rewarding to see the smiles on everyone's face. My group was in charge of running games such as wiffle ball, soccer, lacrosse, and fast-pitch softball, providing me with event operations experience.

All-Star Fan Fair Ambassador
January 2015

In 2015 I was selected to work at the NHL All- Star Weekend Fan Fair event. This was great event experience! I had the privilege to work the NHL Draft Stage with a fun group of BGSU students. Fans had the opportunity to put on an NHL All-Star jersey and get their pictures taken on the stage that was used on television for the actual draft! I had never been a hockey fan before, but I had a wonderful time and even got to touch the Stanley Cup!

Women's Club Basketball

President, Coach, & Player

2014-2016

I was the President and point guard for the BGSU Women's Club Basketball team during my undergrad. Being apart of this team was one of my greatest college experiences. After ultimately deciding that I would not be attending a university to continue my basketball career, I was so happy to know that I could continue playing at the club level. As the acting president my senior year I helped to grow and expand our program!
